Truly. I must be a closet romantic. Don't tell anyone. But that's the reason I picked up this book. Or it could have been that Dux told me to read it. But I definitely decided to read it because of my obsession with fated romances. You didn't hear that from me.The overall plot in Hush, Hush is not entirely new. Others have written about angels and demons and those in between. But often similar novels are absurdly cheesy, or give you zero real connection to the characters. While I'm sure this novel won't win any literary awards, it's absolutely a guilty pleasure read for me. I love Patch. I also love Nora, though she often annoys me. She has a stubborn streak that keeps her looking for information where she wouldn't, which I love. It's only annoying because she often does it in the dumbest way possible. I just want to scream, "There are better ways to get that information!"There's a pretty good and surprising twist in this story, but that's all I say. There's also a ridiculous amount of manual vehicles driven by our characters. Ridiculous because this takes place in the United States, and we love our automatic cars. But don't let that deter you!
